Skip first felt the pull of radio as a kid listening to his transistor radio while big voice DJ's seemed to be having the time of their lives. After two years of college, he "went pro" early and started full time at his first country radio station. Over the years as Skip and his wife traveled town to town, up and down the dial like that TV theme song says, he worked in Adult Contemporary, Oldies and Christian radio formats in addition to Country. He even spent some time in TV as a reporter and anchor at a small station in Indiana. But they made him dress up and shave every day and who wants to do that?
Skip and his wife Sally have three grown children, two married and one soon to be. They love to travel the western U.S., play on their boat and fish a bit, okay a bunch. If Skip had his way, he'd be outside with a rod and reel or a golf club in his hand every day.
